This was an unusual arrangement since I was on the west coast and was communicating with Christy Purnell by email and phone. I emailed her all the paint colors I wanted. Christy and her team did a fabulous job. The paint colors are exactly what I wanted and the walls, doors and ceilings look wonderful. I recently purchased a new home which required some repainting which I wanted to do before I moved in. I had used Christy’s company to do work at my current home and was very satisfied with the results. Initially I was going to just repaint a couple of bedrooms and baths. As we discussed colors and price I asked Christy to provide a quote on a complete redo of the entire home. I originally called Faux Fabulous two years ago when I needed wallpaper removed from my home. I also had her quote on painting my 1960’s kitchen cabinets. I ended up postponing the painting because I was unsure exactly what I wanted to do with cabinets. After 2 years I decided to have them painted. I immediately contacted Christy for a new quote. She found my old quote and said she could do the job at the original price. Within the week we had scheduled the job. She and her crew arrived exactly on time and got to work. They removed the doors to take back to their shop for spray painting. Two of the boys stayed and primed the cabinet boxes. The next day the put the first coat on the boxes which took about 2 hours. Next, they waited 2 days for the paint to dry. They returned for the 2nd coat on Friday. Again time to dry. On the following Wednesday they returned to reinstall the painted doors. I was at work when they did the installation, but Christy kept me updated with text messages and photos. What a surprise when I got home, the cabinets are beautiful! This process took while but it was well worth waiting for. Christy kept us informed during each step and was very professional at all times. She takes pride in her work and is very knowledgeable about all aspects the painting process. Her crew is friendly and hard working as well. FFI came to the rescue after another painting contractor butchered my home. They were on time and professional, correcting all the mistakes the previous painter had made. They completed all the work on time and under budget. I would seriously recommend them for any painting job you may be considering.

Christy was quick to respond to my initial email and to do an estimate. The original price quoted was a bit more than I planned to spend, so we talked it over, adjusted some of the products and agreed on a reduced price. This is a family business; Christy and her sons arrived on time and were exceptionally neat. On the first day, the doors and drawer fronts were removed and the cabinets sanded. That evening I was concerned that irregularities in the wood would be distracting once the color was changed, so I called Christy and she came right over to take a look–the next day the boys built up the spots and then sanded everything smoothly. It took three visits, each less than two hours, to build up the coats of white paint. The doors and drawer fronts were taken to their workshop for spraying and reinstalled today–everything looks perfect and I am very pleased! A fresh new look for my bathrooms! Christy and her team were brilliant! All work was co-ordinated with Christy from my home in Georgia so I never actually met her! She made the whole process very easy and kept in regular contact providing updates with pictures. There was never any confusion with communication and if she was unsure about something she contacted me. Christy helped advise on color choice and which walls should be painted a particular color. The quality of the work is excellent – any missed spots would be easily visible as this condo is well lit – but I can’t find any! There were no spills on the hardwood floor and the work was finished on schedule. I am very pleased with the results. Christy has an excellent ‘eye’ for colors and what works well in different lighting and with the customer’s decor. The team worked efficiently each day, each member attending to their assigned task with attention to detail. The whole process was efficient and on schedule from start to finish. Christy, owner, came out to the house with color samples. She made several suggestions for paint colors which turned out to work very well. She then scheduled the work. We had many drywall cracks that they had to repair before they started painting. Although all three contrarctors offered idea, it was Christy at Faux Fabulous that we felt understood what we were looking for. Her opinions and sugestions were right on target with what we were looking for. she did not pressure us into doing more then we needed done…her professionalisim was impressive, she was not “selling” us. I called Christy as soon as I knew the deal would run, and explained my timetable. She was very responsive, and came by quickly to survey the job.
